The ideal time for this hike is May to October.
In addition to the flowers & walking trail Faschina there is a informative avalanche path in Blons and a hiking trail in Marul.

The Walser path - traces of past times

In earlier times when there were no roads in Great Walser Valley, the villages were linked only by footpaths. Today, these historic footpaths build the so called Walserweg, the Walser path.
This way leads from the entrance of the valley in Thüringerberg straight to the cultural center of the Great Walser Valley, the Provost's residence St. Gerold, the so called Propstei St. Gerold with its splendid garden. The Walser path continues to Blons, from where you can get to the other side of the valley - to Raggal, or directly after Sonntag (that´s the village, where you are welcome in our House Nigsch). Here the Walser path again divides into two way: on the one side you can get to a very small village called Buchboden, on the other side you reach Fontanella and Faschina-Damüls. The entire Walser path tagged with informative signs, which tell you something about history, traditions and way of life in the Great Walser Valley. The Walser path takes about five to seven hours depending on the route.
